The Civic Music Association of Des Moines is excited to welcome three new members to its team! Taking over the role of Business Manager is Ajia Whipp with Mac Muehlberger and Jordan Gould joining as the new junior interns.

Ajia

Ajia Whipp, a Des Moines resident, holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Northwest Missouri State University. Over the past ten years, she has dedicated herself to teaching instrumental music to students in grades five through twelve in Missouri and Iowa. Now, Ajia is thrilled to channel her deep-rooted passion for music into a business role at the Civic Music Association. Through her experience in music education, she has not only developed a strong affinity for music but also discovered a newfound enthusiasm for event planning, organization, and business management. Taking on the position of Business Manager, Ajia eagerly anticipates the opportunity to merge all these passions into one rewarding endeavor.

Mac

Mac Muehlberger is a Drake University junior majoring in piano performance. Originally from Kansas City, he is a converted Des Moines-er. He is very excited to be working with the Civic Music Association, an organization that has a long and established history as a powerhouse for bringing big names in the music world to Des Moines.
After graduating from Drake, he hopes to receive his master’s degree in conducting. Mac looks forward to working with the fantastic team at CMA for the next two years!

Jordan

Jordan Gould is a recent Drake University graduate with degrees in music business and computer science. He plans to work in either of those fields, while continuing to play drum-set in the area. He started working with Civic Music in May, and he enjoys helping put on the Belin Concert Series for the dedicated patrons.

We are thrilled to welcome such ambitious new members to help continue our mission of delivering world-class performances to Des Moines. Be sure to say hi to these friendly new faces at future CMA performances!
