About the show
Grammy-nominated pianist and composer Alfredo Rodriguez kicks off our 2023-2024 season! Classically trained, this rising star of the jazz world was discovered at the Montreaux Jazz Festival and recently performed to a sold-out house at the Madrid International Jazz Festival. Known for his percussive playing and ability to “play stories,” Rodriguez will take you on a musical tour of Cuba. From warm and inviting to boldly high-octane, his Des Moines debut will be a night to remember!

Where is the concert happening?
The concert will happen at the Temple Theater, located on the second floor of the Temple for Performing Arts.
Where should I park?
Parking is available in the parking lot south of Locust St. between 9th and 10th Streets for free after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and free on the weekends. On-street metered parking is available throughout downtown. Parking meters charge Monday through Saturday from 9 AM – 9 PM. Valet parking will be available for $20.
