Miró Quartet with Colin Currie

Civic Music Association will present the Miró Quartet with Colin Currie on Saturday, April 6th at 7:30 pm at Drake University’s Sheslow Auditorium.  A pre-concert talk by Mark Dorr, Principal Percussionist and Orchestra Manager for the Des Moines Metro Opera, will take place in Sheslow Auditorium at 6:45 pm. This concert is made possible by a gift from Don & Marian Easter.

Immediately following the concert, guests will enjoy music by the Drake University Piano Quartet, appetizers, drinks and a chance to meet the members of Miró Quartet and famed percussionist, Colin Currie.  This reception, sponsored by KRNT will be located at the Patty & Fred Turner Jazz Center, just a short walk from Sheslow Auditorium on the Drake University campus.  $10/person or FREE for Civic Music Association “Thank You” Donors.
Tickets may be purchased by visiting Midwestix at, contacting the Civic Music Association office at 515-280-4020 or visiting the Civic Music Association box office located at 1620 Pleasant Street, Suite 244 in Sherman Hill. Tickets range from $12-$36 with special student prices in all sections.  In addition, students may purchase any available tickets one-hour prior to the concert for $7 (with valid student id.)
