Single Tickets on Sale Monday, August 5th


Single Tickets to all Civic Music Association Concerts in the 2013/14 Season on Sale August 5, 2013


(Des Moines, IA) Single tickets for all concerts in the Civic Music Association 2013/14 Season will go on sale at 9 am on Monday, August 5, 2013. Tickets for performances in Sheslow Auditorium range from $20-$48 for adults, with a 40% discount for advanced student tickets. Student rush tickets will be available for $10 at the box office.


Tickets to Little Big Fest featuring the Soul Rebels will also go on sale August 5, 2013. Options for this concert include purchasing tickets to The Soul Rebels at Wooly’s for $15 or a complete festival pass for $20, which includes access to various other music venues in the East Village on November 15, 2013. All tickets are available thru or by calling 515-280-4020. In addition, Season Subscriptions are still available.  


“Celebrating our 89th year, Civic Music Association continues to be a Central Iowa leader in presenting music that highlights legends and rising starts in the classical and jazz genres,” commented Carrie Clogg, Executive Director, “This season we are excited to expand our concert season, partner with other arts and cultural organizations and move one concert to Wooly’s in the East Village in order to expand our audience base and provide world-class musical experiences.”

November 15, 2013: Des Moines Music Coalition and Civic Music Association present Little Big Fest featuring The Soul Rebels at Wooly’s

December 7, 2013: Canadian Brass with special appearance by Heartland Youth Choir

January 24, 2014: Imani Winds

February 21, 2014: Kenny Barron & Dave Holland Duo

March 8, 2014: Goldstein-Peled-Fiterstein Trio

April 4, 2014: 2013 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist ~ Vadym Kholodenko


In addition to the concert series, Civic Music Association is committed to enriching the community through FREE Partners in Music Education programs. Each artist conducts free educational events in the community inviting students and the general public to learn from some of the greatest international touring musicians of all time.
