Civic Music Association presents the award-winning a cappella quintet Calmus in a special holiday concert on Thursday, December 10 in intimate Sheslow Auditorium.

This award-winning a cappella quintet from Leipzig, Germany, holds audiences “spellbound with its artistry,” says The Washington Post, whose critics proclaim, “I’ve never heard finer ensemble singing.” On December 10, Calmus will present a program from their new Christmas album featuring sacred and secular carols spanning the centuries from Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and the Americas.

Calmus embodies the rich choral tradition of their hometown of Leipzig, offering the unique combination of a pure soprano voice with four male voices ranging from bass to countertenor. Their charming stage presence, flawless technique and diverse repertoire will make for a very special holiday concert.
